There is a gorgeous river that runs along the Fiery Gizzard trail which could be a good water supply with the proper filtration equipment. Otherwise, pack plenty of water, it is essential.
This trail is located in Grundy Forest State Natural Area at South Cumberland State Park. The Fiery Gizzard trail starts out rocky and a bit steep descending into the canyon. It is very rocky here and wet in places making it somewhat slippery. It follows the river for the first mile or so passing many beautiful cascades and waterfalls.Sep 28, 2020 ...
